Posted by Anonymous | Sunday, June 30, 2013 | Category: | 0 comments

Anytime you mention the words beach, summer, and basketball in the same sentence you get an automatic bid to the best week ever! Myrtle Beach in South Carolina and NIKE Basketball have teamed up to make a great week possible at Myrtle Beach High School. Camp director James Lee is a shooting doctor and basketball specialist for South Carolina and the best campers around.

Throughout this week, the NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at Myrtle Beach High School had exciting and great moments. Championship Friday was nothing less than inspirational for all the staffers and campers. That morning, the campers walked into the gym with an extra bounce in their step. Anyone could notice the focused and determined look in the eyes of the campers. We started off the day with living by numbers. Next we quickly jumped into our individual skills stations for a quick review. Each day the campers rotated between 3 different skill stations. Individual skills, 3on3, and video session gives helps teach all parts of the game to the campers.

Now its championship time! The first championship round was the 5on5 games.  The NBA and high school division championships was balanced throughout the week. Next was our Living By Numbers Championships. With so many returning campers, there was a lot of anticipation of who will be selected. Living by Numbers (LBN) program online has been extremely beneficial to most of the campers. Lastly was the crowd favorite 3on3 Cut Throat Championship. All week the campers have been earning points and learning different ways to be successful with their teams. Coaches, players, and parents enjoyed the intensity during the 3on3 games.

Championship Friday ended with our NIKE Awards Ceremony. All the campers received camps T-shirts, workbooks, players evaluations, and various fun prizes. The campers that performed well during the LBN Championships, earned autographed NIKE basketballs and NIKE gear. Below is the list of LBN winners and the photos of the individual winners. We are sad the camp ended today, but we are more excited about the improvement of all the campers. See you at summer Myrtle Beach!

NIKE Boys Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at Goodpasture H.S.

Nashville is a beautiful, but the personally I enjoy the refreshing atmosphere outside of the city. Madison, TN is a few miles outside of Nashville, and Goodpasture High School is a key location for NIKE Basketball. This week at Goodpasture High School, camp director Drew Maddux instructed a great group of young energetic campers on their journey to become better players and young men.

Throughout this week, the NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at Goodpasture High School had exciting and great moments. NIKE Boys Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at Homewood H.S.

Posted by Anonymous | | Category: | 0 comments

Homewood High School in Homewood, Alabama provided home cooking all week, and I mean that literally. On top of Homewood showing us home grown talent, my staff and I had the privilege to enjoy a home cooked meal. Two of the campers' mothers saw it appropriate to feed us properly. This just shows how well Homewood Head Basketball Coach Tim Shepler and the community want NIKE to continue hosting camps at this location. Don't worry, July is approaching fast and we will have the second NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at Homewood High School again.

Throughout this week, the NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at Homewood High School had exciting and great moments. Championship Friday was nothing less than inspirational for all the staffers and campers. That morning, the campers walked into the gym with an extra bounce in their step. Anyone could notice the focused and determined look in the eyes of the campers. 2013 NIKE Boys Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at Piney Grove

Posted by Anonymous | Sunday, June 23, 2013 | Category: | 0 comments

Piney Grove Middle School is located at the top of Highway 400 in Cumming, Georgia, and honestly each camper was on top of their game this week. It all started bright and early Monday morning with the help of Ms Debbie, the hardest working woman at Piney, by making sure the to-do list was complete. Piney is a familiar location for Elite Hoops and NIKE Basketball Camps for some time now. Personally, I was excited to see recognizable campers and parents from the previous camps. In life you always want to work hard and reach your highest potential. For Elite Hoops and NIKE Basketball Camps, our climb is the top is translated into the drive to the top. Piney Grove Middle School and the community of Cummings represents all the great potential at the top...of HWY 400.

Throughout this week, the NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at Piney Grove Middle School had exciting and great moments. Championship Friday was nothing less than inspirational for all the staffers and campers. That morning, the campers walked into the gym with an extra bounce in their step. Now its championship time! The first championship round was the 5on5 games. In the college division, we had a semi finals sudden death game. Syracuse beat Louiville then went on to lose in the championship to Michigan. The NBA and high school division championships was balanced throughout the week. All week the campers have been earning points and learning different ways to be successful with their teams. Coaches, players, and parents enjoyed the intensity during the 3on3 games.

Check out these two campers that set new LBN records. Very proud of all the hard work this week.

2013 NIKE Boys Basketball Camp: Championship at SSUMC

Posted by Anonymous | | Category: | 0 comments

SSUMC stands for Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. This is the second consecutive year that Elite Hoops and NIKE Basketball Camps have come together to give kids a chance to learn and improve their basketball game. Not only does SSUMC provide the community with a sanctuary for praise and giving thanks, but also a sanctuary for physical improvement. Camp director Michelle Manfredi and SSUMC Activities Director Jenny Byrd, work hard to pull all the hidden talent that is inside of each camper. On behalf of Elite Hoops and NIKE Basketball Camps, we feel extremely honored that SSUMC is allowing us to enter their temple of peace so we can provide balance with basketball. We will like to thank everyone that is supporting.

2013 NIKE Boys Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at Episcopal Collegiate

Posted by Anonymous | Sunday, June 16, 2013 | Category: | 0 comments

Little Rock Arkansas? More like Big Rock Arkansas when Episcopal Collegiate and Elite Hoops NIKE Basketball Camps comes together over the summers. Last summer was the first round in Arkansas, but this summer the talent level jumped way up. Every player competed at a high level and pushed one another. First year camp director Micah Marsh said "Coaches and kids energy and enthusiasm was sky high all week. It is going to be hard to top this June's camp!" Maybe July's camp can make me say Huge Rock Arkansas by the end of the week.

Throughout this week, the NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at Episcopal Collegiate had exciting and great moments. Championship Friday was nothing less than inspirational for all the staffers and campers. That morning, the campers walked into the gym with an extra bounce in their step. Anyone could notice the focused and determined look in the eyes of the campers. Now its championship time! The first championship round was the 5on5 games. In the college division, Florida had to fight back in the semi finals to win in sudden death. After they were battle tested, Florida went on to beat undefeated Duke in the championship. The NBA and high school division championships was dominated by the league leading team. Next was our Living By Numbers Championships. With so many returning campers, there was a lot of anticipation of who will be selected. 2013 NIKE Girls Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at GAC

Posted by Anonymous | | Category: | 0 comments

The University of Connecticut's basketball program is known for two things, winning and winning on both sides. Also known as UConn,  the program was the first in NCAA history to win both the men's and women's National Championship Title. Obliviously not an overnight success, both teams push each other by showing off elite excellence everyday. The varsity boys at GAC recently won the 2013 High School State Championship, and it will not be long before the girls team pushes the boys back. This week was the first NIKE Girls Basketball Camp at GAC, and it is the start of a beautiful basketball relationship.

Throughout this week, the NIKE Girls Basketball Camp at GAC honestly was one of the most entertaining camps I ever been apart of. On Championship Friday, the hit song "Harlem Shake" stole the show. When camp director Michelle Manfredi hit the play button, all the girls energy level went for 10 to 10,000. Anyone could notice the focused and determined look in the eyes of the campers. We started off the day with 5on5 championship games. In the WNBA division, the Dream beat the Sparks in a deciding game 5 for the championship. Baylor continued to dominate and won the college division championship. Next was our Living By Numbers Championships and individual skill improvement sessions.

Round 2 next summer will be even better GAC!
