NIKE Boys Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at St. Francis

Posted by Anonymous | Tuesday, July 29, 2014 | Category: | 0 comments

St. Francis is one of Elite Hoops favorite locations. It is not only a camp spot for us, but also a fall training location for us Elite Hoops Fam. We always enjoy our time here whether it is in the fall or summer. This past week was definitely a top week at St. Francis. Campers were ready to learn and eager to hit the hardwood. Coaches all agreed that the campers were determined each day to get better allowing camp to run extra smooth. The week went by fast and it was all because the campers stayed organized by listening to their coaches! Those are the campers we love to have each week!

Throughout this week, the NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at St. Francis had exciting and great moments. Championship Friday was nothing less than inspirational for all the staffers and campers. That morning, the campers walked into the gym with an extra bounce in their step. Anyone could notice the focused and determined look in the eyes of the campers. We started off the day with living by numbers. Next we quickly jumped into our individual skills stations for a quick review. Each day the campers rotated between 3 different skill stations. Individual skills, 3on3, and video session gives helps teach all parts of the game to the campers.

Now its championship time! The first championship round was the 5on5 games.  The NBA and high school division championships was balanced throughout the week. Next was our Living By Numbers Championships. With so many returning campers, there was a lot of anticipation of who will be selected. Living by Numbers (LBN) program online has been extremely beneficial to most of the campers. Lastly the crowd favorite was 3on3 Cut Throat Championship. All week the campers have been earning points and learning different ways to be successful with their teams. Coaches, players, and parents enjoyed the intensity during the 3on3 games.

Championship Friday ended with our NIKE Awards Ceremony. All the campers received camps T-shirts, workbooks, players evaluations, and various fun prizes. Below is the list of LBN winners and the photos of the individual winners. We are sad the camp ended today, but we are more excited about the improvement of all the campers. See you next year St. Francis!

NIKE Boys Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at Christ Presbyterian Academy

Drew Maddux and chosen staff once again finished off another week of camp at CPA with amazing results. Every aspect of this camp was incredible. Campers were filled with energy and readiness to get better each and every day. They came to camp ready to listen, learn, and work hard. Those are three aspects every coach desires in each of their players. As this summer comes to an end we are proud to say that Drew Maddux has successfully created and ran camps for another year at CPA, and we can't wait to offer camp at this location again next year! We hope to see each of your faces next summer whether it be one or multiple weeks! Great week campers, keep up the hard work!

NIKE Boys/Girls Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at Academic Magnet High School

Posted by Anonymous | | Category: | 0 comments

As the summer season of NIKE basketball camps begin to come to an end, we love to make sure our campers end the summer season with a bang. The campers at Academic Magnet HS surely knew how to do that. The coaches truly enjoyed working with each and every one of the campers, and enjoyed spending one of their last few weeks with these campers. They saw the potential in each camper, and helped each camper to see and begin to reach their own potential as well. We thank you campers for your hard work, and parents for letting us work with them for the week! See you all next summer!

NIKE Girls Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at Kings Ridge Christian School

Posted by Anonymous | Monday, July 28, 2014 | Category: | 0 comments

After a whole summer of boys camps and only one girls camp here in Atlanta, coaches this week were very excited to add another girls camp to the books! With a small camp count, in a smaller gym, coaches and campers really get the opportunity to feel as if they give and receive a lot of one-on-one attention. The girls this week were loud, excited, and determined to get better and break records. With lots of smiles, laughter, and hard work, this ended up being one of our best girls camps yet. Keep working hard girls!

Our second week at Homewood HS this summer means another sold out camp for Coach Tim Shepler and director AJ Holland. The gym was packed with both familiar and new faces as campers took the floor on Monday morning. There was plenty of intense competition this week, with several 5 on 5 games going into overtime. No Walk Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and Championship Friday helped us end the week with a bang.
