CPA and Drew Maddux is an unbelievable combination. Not only is this combination successful during the basketball season, but is just as successful in the off season. This summer, Nashville and surrounding areas have made an impact in NIKE Basketball campers lives. We are proud to be apart of this developmental process in Nashville and we want to continue to help in anyway that we can. Thank you and we salute you!
Championship Friday was nothing less than inspirational for all the staffers and campers. That morning, the campers walked into the gym with an extra bounce in their step. Anyone could notice the focused and determined look in the eyes of the campers. We started off the day with living by numbers. Next we quickly jumped into our individual skills stations for a quick review. Each day the campers rotated between 3 different skill stations. Individual skills, 3on3, and video session gives helps teach all parts of the game to the campers.
Now its championship time! The first championship round was the 5on5 games. In the high school and college division we had two overtime games was an exciting finish. The NBA division championship was dominated by one team. Next was our Living By Numbers Championships. One camper broke our previous record and was thrilled about the honor. Its my guess the player has been practicing the Living by Numbers (LBN) program online. Lastly was the crowd favorite 3on3 Cut Throat Championship. All week the campers have been earning points and learning different ways to be successful with their teams. Coaches, players, and parents enjoyed the intensity during the 3on3 games. We had some Living by Number Record Breakers this week. Players that beat All-time or Divisional records are below with their record breaking video and scores.
Check out Hunter Vick as he breaks 5 of his own records this week at CPA NIKE Basketball Camp!

We are sad the camp ended today, but we are more excited about the improvement of all the campers. Until next year GAC!

Sunday Skills, 3on3 League, Spring Break Camp, Winter Break, and NIKE Boys Basketball Camp are all at this great location, St. Francis High School. For most of our campers this week, STF was a place of familiarity. The staff, parents, and campers came into the gym Monday morning expecting the best, and the best was given. Coach Huff, STF Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, supports us through out the year, but especially during the summer when kids are working to improve.

NIKE Boys Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at KRCS

The term "Kings of Kings" describes this week of NIKE Boys Basketball Camp very well. Michelle Manfredi took on and directed the hard working crew of campers at Kings Ridge Christian School; also known as KRCS. This camp included campers between the age of 8-10 year old. With that being said, fundamentals were highly enforced for the youngsters. Manfredi quoted "This week my staff and I loved teaching and concentrating on the beginner concepts more." Only a land of kings can appreciate the basic things of life and basketball. Thank you Kings Ridges for a great week.

Sweet Home Alabama has truly been a sweet home for NIKE Basketball Camps this summer. We want to salute the entire Birmingham basketball family for a great summer. We kicked off 2013 at Trussville High School, and now we are wrapping up with Homewood High School. This entire week has been special. Not only because of the great basketball but because this is our Sweet New Home. Thank you Birmingham.

NIKE Boys Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at Kell HS

Last time Kell High School and Elite Hoops combined forces was for the Elite Camp last year. The select group of NIKE basketball campers competed to be the best of the best. This week had a similar intensity at Kell High School. The Marietta and surrounding area players came to camp with a need to prove attitude. Head Varsity Boys Coach Jermaine Sellers has done an outstanding job in his second making sure the kids get a great opportunity to learn and be active. I know the level of play will continue this Labor Day too!

NIKE Boys Basketball Camp: Championship Friday in Peachtree City

Peachtree City will now be called The City of Gems. The reason why I decided to personally rename the city is because of the hidden gems we find every summer. This week in Peachtree City...excuse me, The City of Gems, 70 plus campers was ready to play and give max effort. Quietly the campers were battling the urge not to swim at the Aquatic Center connected to Kedron Fieldhouse after each exhausting drill. Everyday a different player found a way to leave a mark on the basketball court. Maybe next year we will make a deal to include a quick dip in the pool for the hardest workers of the day.

NIKE Girls Basketball Camp: Championship Friday at CPA Nashville

The University of Connecticut's basketball program is known for two things, winning and winning on both sides. Also known as UConn, the program was the first in NCAA history to win both the men's and women's National Championship Title. Obliviously not an overnight success, both teams push each other by showing off elite excellence everyday. The varsity boys at CPA recently won the 2013 High School State Championship, and it will not be long before the girls team pushes the boys back.

They say what does around comes around, and the NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at Blessed Trinity High School definitely makes that statement true. This was the second camp of the summer for Blessed Trinity and it definitely lived up to the first. Many energetic campers returned for a second helping, while others came in to join the fun. With over 100 kids in attendance, Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Brian Marks was trilled with the turned and is already preparing for 2014. Thank you Roswell for all the support.
