As the last camp of the summer, and the first camp to ever be held at Cannon School, we have all agreed that every aspect of the camp was the best way to end the summer and bring in a new NIKE Elite Hoops Basketball Camp Location. Majority of campers were new faces, some familiar, truly making this camp an experience filled with a lot of learning. We are extremely happy with how it turned out, and the amount of hard work the campers gave and brought each and every day. We can't wait to see you again next summer at Cannon School!
Throughout this week, the NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at Cannon School had exciting and great moments. Championship Friday was nothing less than inspirational for all the staffers and campers. That morning, the campers walked into the gym with an extra bounce in their step. Anyone could notice the focused and determined look in the eyes of the campers. We started off the day with living by numbers. Next we quickly jumped into our individual skills stations for a quick review. Each day the campers rotated between 3 different skill stations. Individual skills, 3on3, and video session gives helps teach all parts of the game to the campers.
Now its championship time! The first championship round was the 5on5 games. The NBA and high school division championships was balanced throughout the week. Next was our Living By Numbers Championships. With so many returning campers, there was a lot of anticipation of who will be selected. Living by Numbers (LBN) program online has been extremely beneficial to most of the campers. Lastly the crowd favorite was 3on3 Cut Throat Championship. All week the campers have been earning points and learning different ways to be successful with their teams. Coaches, players, and parents enjoyed the intensity during the 3on3 games.
Championship Friday ended with our NIKE Awards Ceremony. All the campers received camps T-shirts, workbooks, players evaluations, and various fun prizes. Below is the list of LBN winners and the photos of the individual winners. We are sad the camp ended today, but we are more excited about the improvement of all the campers. See you next year Cannon School!

This past week at A Game Sportsplex has truly been one for the books. Drew Maddux, officially holds the record for most successful camp with 150+ campers. This camp was definitely one to save for the books. With a lot of talent, a lot of hard work, and a lot of listening ears, the camp was able to successfully run all week long and still have the feel of a small camp. Even with such a large amount of campers, coaches were still able to get to know each and every player. With lots of hard work, organization, and patience, the campers and coaches were able to work together and help each other get better 1% each day.

As our summer has quickly come to an end, we always love to spend our last week of basketball camps in Atlanta at Greater Atlanta Christian School. The beautiful facilities allow us to end the summer with a little over 100 eager campers who have been waiting all summer for camp. It allows us to bring in the top staff, and run camp under the legendary head coach of GAC, Eddie Martin. With a mix of so many positive aspects, it is hard for this camp to end on a bad note. Campers each day came to get better, and learn many new things that they can take with them into their upcoming season. After an extremely successful week of camp at GAC with some top players of the summer, we are sad to say goodbye to summer and the camp season, but ready to say hello to fall training and camp planning for summer of 2015. See you next year GAC!

NIKE Boys Basketball Camp: Championship Thursday at Smyrna Community Center

Our very first camp at Smyrna Community Center was an extremely successful one filled with talented and hard working campers. Our college division championship was an exciting one: a three point shot at the buzzer brought the game into over time. Campers took the floor each morning ready to work hard and push themselves. Coaches set the goal for our campers to get 1% better every time they took the floor. Campers proved that they were serious about getting better on "No Walk Wednesday" when they were required to sprint everywhere they went. Camp was an all around success in Smyrna this week. We are looking forward to growing next summer in Smyrna.
