Elite Hoops Playset: Backscreens

Posted by Anonymous | Friday, October 23, 2015 | Category: |

Now that players have become more versatile, specifically in the post spots, teams have been able to add more screens and backcuts to their offenses. This playset is great for a team that is able to pass the ball at a high level under pressure.

This play begins with P1 passing to P4 and cutting to the basket. P4 then has a dribble handoff with P2. Next, P2 dribbles off of a ball screen and P1 immediately sets a backscreen for P5 rolling to the basket. If the layup is not open P3 is sliding to the corner spotted up for a 3.
