Brad Stevens proved himself on the collegiate level at Butler and hasn't lost a beat since he has stepped in the league. His offensive sets contain many scoring options that are easy for anybody to finish when put in the positions that he puts them in. A solid skill set from the players is required to be able to play for Stevens. All guards need to be able to handle the ball and shoot while the bigs need to be able to pass and make reads. The play below is the perfect example of a Stevens set.
Play begins with a 1/3 dribble handoff. P3 then passes to P5 and receives a back screen from P4 looking for a layup. P4 down screens for P1. 5/1 dribble handoff while P4 pops to the 3pt line. P5 rolls to the rim and P3 spots up in the corner.
