NCAA March Madness is underway and teams have been running plays to perfection. In the first round of play, Albany may not have had the talent to match up with Florida but some of their sets allowed them to compete and make it more of a matchup than what people expected. This set is simple but effective with numerous options to score and throw the defense off balance.
This play begins in a 1-4 set with the ball being entered into the high post. On the catch, P2 goes backdoor looking for a layup. Next P1 sets his man up and cuts to the ball side corner. P3 then curls around the top of the key off of a downscreen into a dribble handoff with P5 trying to turn the corner. Lastly, a staggered screen is set for P2 in the weak side corner looking for a jumpshot.
